Earth Science Division – Arlington, TX, as Manager of Technical Sales Support. Mr. Nelson manages day-to-day operations at ErosionLab along with other responsibilities.  He has conducted hundreds of index and large-scale erosion and sediment control tests in his career.  Mr. Nelson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls.  He has work experience in erosion control research and development, erosion control product applications, trout stream habitat restoration and highway construction.  Mr. Nelson is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) as well as a Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ). 

Mike is working on improving the industry each day he goes to work.  There are not many tests related to our industry that Mike has not perfected.  He is always looking for ways to improve existing tools in the toolbox along with researching the “next best thing” to help protect our precious environment.  His positive attitude and “never say never” attitude have helped advance the industry through his 19 year career at American Excelsior Company.

When Mike is not at work advancing the industry and protecting our environment, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and camping.
